Friday on my mind…

July 10, 2012

Here’s the final cover art for Friday Brown.

It’s gone to print (well, it went to print twelve and a half days ago, but who’s counting?). This book was extremely difficult to write and I still don’t know why. I knew the final scene from the get-go and supposedly the writing is easier if you know where you’re headed, right? Riiiight.

Now I’m going to bunker down with my doomsday supplies: flannies, chocolate, Portishead, a shabby copy of The Secret History, and my dog Banjo. As you do.

  3. will you be having the same cover artist for your next book? i noticed that so far both your books have this thick border on their covers and i think the same font too, to give it a more uniform look ... anyways, i bought your book (friday brown) from fishpond.com and i will always, always, always buy the aussie version even if i sometimes have difficulties with the slang, i think that it's part of what makes the story yours to begin with and i'd be afraid that the uk/us versions would edit them to e.g. "americanize" them ... i'm starving for your new book that has not been published yet, thirsting for the words i have not yet read! :)
